Facebook challenge 03/09/10 Part 1

Okay well I've been super busy checking out job fairs and potential new living spaces so I haven't gotten to draw like I wanted to. I've got a job interview in a little over an hour so I'm trying to make do with the allotted time I have.

So to the point, here are Nicholas Cage from National Treasure and Cthulu. I used pencil's this time over my sketching lead holder. Cage is not so great, I had trouble nailing down what makes Nicholas Cage look like Nicholas Cage. I redrew his face and could probably do it better if I restarted... but I'm not going to. ;)

    Why does Benjamin Gates look a lot like President George H.W. Bush? He's a treasure hunter for christ's sake Derek, not a former commander-in-chief! Plus, no Masonic symbols or gold dubloons? Points for effort though, the torch looks amazing! And does that octopus have bat wings? If so, two words: fucking awesome.

    I don't see this Nicholas Cage drawing, buuuut I do see the George W. Bush dressed as a frat dude with a torch. I like. :)
